Four new ministers sworn in under Karki-led interim govt



KATHMANDU: Four new ministers have been inducted into the Sushila Karki-led interim government. They took the oath of office and secrecy at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Friday.

Kumar Ingam has been appointed Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation. Madhav Chaulagain will lead the Ministry of Forests and Environment. Former DIG Rajendra Singh Bhandari has been given the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, while Shraddha Shrestha has been appointed Minister for Women and Children.

The new ministers are scheduled to assume office at Singha Durbar later today. With the latest appointments, the Cabinet under Prime Minister Karki has expanded to 14 members.
