Gold and silver prices see sharp rises



KATHMANDU: Prices of gold and silver witnessed a significant rise in the domestic market on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 3,500 per tola, while silver rose by Rs 100 per tola.

With the latest revision, fine gold is being traded at Rs 256,600 per tola, while the price of silver has reached Rs 3,905 per tola.

On Wednesday, gold was traded at Rs 253,100 per tola, whereas silver was priced at Rs 3,805 per tola, indicating a notable uptick in both metals within a day.

International media reports show that gold was trading at USD 4,275 per ounce, and silver at USD 62 per ounce in the global market today.
