Sonapur Mineral pays first installment of outstanding premium tariff, power supply restored



DANG: Sonapur Mineral and Oil Pvt. Ltd., operating in Ghorahi, Dang, has cleared the first installment of its outstanding premium tariff dues for electricity consumed through dedicated and trunk lines during the load-shedding period.

Following the payment, the company’s disconnected power line was reconnected on Tuesday evening.

According to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Sonapur Mineral has paid the first installment covering charges from January 2016 to April 2018. The company had an outstanding balance of Rs 242.9 million, which has been divided into 28 installments.

Sonapur has paid Rs 8.63 million as the first installment, enabling the reconnection of its electricity supply.
