NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 141.42 and the selling rate at Rs 142.02.

Similarly, one European euro is valued at Rs 163.68 for buying and Rs 164.37 for selling, while the British pound sterling stands at Rs 185.89 and Rs 186.68, respectively. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 176.37 for buying and Rs 177.12 for selling.

The Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 92.25 for buying and Rs 92.64 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.80 and Rs 101.23, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.63 and Rs 109.10, respectively.

Ten Japanese yen are priced at Rs 9.17 for buying and Rs 9.21 for selling, while one Chinese yuan is set at Rs 19.86 and Rs 19.95. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 37.71 for buying and Rs 37.87 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.80 and Rs 38.96, respectively.

According to the bank, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.37 for buying and Rs 4.39 for selling, the UAE dirham at Rs 38.51 and Rs 38.67, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.17 and Rs 34.31, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.65 and Rs 9.69. The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 14.91 for buying and Rs 14.97 for selling, while the Danish krone is priced at Rs 21.92 and Rs 22.01.

The Hong Kong dollar stands at Rs 18.19 for buying and Rs 18.27 for selling, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 460.47 and Rs 462.43, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 375.09 and Rs 376.69, and the Omani rial at Rs 367.32 and Rs 368.88, respectively. Meanwhile, the rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these rates are subject to revision as needed. It also clarified that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary slightly and that the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
