KATHMANDU: Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has been arrested in connection with the recent gold smuggling case involving vapes.
A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police detained Mahara from Kathmandu on Sunday.
Nepal Police spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire confirmed to Khabarhub that Mahara was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the case where gold was smuggled concealed inside vapes.
