Gen-Z protesters insist on direct talks with President

KATHMANDU: The Gen-Z protesters have taken a firm stance, refusing to engage in dialogue with representatives of President Ram Chandra Paudel and demanding direct talks with the President himself.

Posting on the ‘Hami Nepali’ Facebook page, Sudan Gurung, a representative of the protest movement, stated that he had been waiting for the President for nine hours, but the President had yet to appear for talks.

“We want to talk directly to the President. I will not speak with his representatives,” Gurung said.

President Paudel has delegated the responsibility of initiating talks to his advisors and representatives, stating that he would join the dialogue alongside the Gen-Z team, rather than engaging in talks individually.
