Both Houses of Federal Parliament to convene today



KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to convene today. The House of Representatives will meet at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

During the session, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to present the Annual Report of the National Dalit Commission for the fiscal year 2023/24.

Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Raghuji Pant, will propose that the Tilganga Netra University Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly, be forwarded to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.

The National Assembly is also set to meet today at 1:15 PM. In this session, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, is likely to present the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Preservation) Bill, 2081.

Both Houses will also observe a condolence motion, paying tribute to the late Khadga Bahadur Basyal, former Minister of State and Constituent Assembly member, who recently passed away.
