PM Oli arrives in Jhapa for two-day visit



JHAPA: CPN-UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in his home district of Jhapa on Saturday for a two-day visit to attend various programs in Jhapa and Ilam districts.

He was welcomed at Chandragadhi Airport at 11 AM by UML Koshi Province In-Charge Sherdhan Rai, Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, UML Koshi Province Chairperson Ghanshyam Khatiwada, and other party leaders.

According to UML’s Jhapa District Chairman Prem Giri, Oli will inaugurate Bhagiratha Nyaopane Buddhashanti Hospital at Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-3 and distribute land ownership certificates to landless Dalits, squatters, and informal settlers in Kankai Municipality later today.

He will also travel to Ilam district today, where he is scheduled to distribute land ownership certificates to landless Dalits and squatters in Mai Municipality and inaugurate the newly established municipal hospital there.

On Sunday, PM Oli will inaugurate the Madan Dangi–Tarabari–Depo road section in Damak Municipality, starting from Krishna Temple, and address a gathering of party cadres at City Center in Birtamod before returning to Kathmandu, Chairman Giri informed.
