KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed in the red on Thursday, declining by 9.08 points (0.34%) to settle at 2,655.38, following a 13.69-point drop in the previous trading session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,665.23, hitting an intraday high of 2,672.42 and a low of 2,654.69.
Total turnover for the day stood at Rs. 12.51 billion, with 28,607,685 shares traded across 311 companies through 102,895 transactions.
The total market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 4.42 trillion, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 1.49 trillion.
