Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday), showing a decline in the value of major international currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound, dinar, and Australian dollar.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is Rs 136.52, while the selling rate is Rs 137.12. In comparison, yesterday’s rates stood at Rs 136.67 (buying) and Rs 137.27 (selling).

The euro has also declined slightly, with today’s buying rate set at Rs 156.02 and the selling rate at Rs 156.70. Yesterday, the euro was traded at Rs 156.15 (buying) and Rs 156.84 (selling).

Similarly, the British pound is being bought at Rs 184.10 and sold at Rs 184.91 today, down from yesterday’s rates of Rs 184.47 and Rs 185.28, respectively.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 88.81 and sold at Rs 89.20 today. Yesterday, it was exchanged at Rs 89.06 (buying) and Rs 89.45 (selling).

Likewise, the Kuwaiti dinar has dropped to Rs 445.74 (buying) and Rs 447.69 (selling), down from Rs 446.36 and Rs 448.32 yesterday.

The Bahraini dinar is trading at Rs 362.01 (buying) and Rs 363.60 (selling) today, compared to yesterday’s Rs 362.47 and Rs 364.06.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates are subject to revision as needed. It also clarified that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the most up-to-date figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
