Gold price drops by Rs 3,700 per tola

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market witnessed a significant drop on Monday, falling by Rs 3,700 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.

As per the federation’s daily update, gold is now being traded at Rs 186,800 per tola, down from Rs 190,500 recorded on Sunday.

This marks one of the sharpest single-day drops in recent weeks, attributed to fluctuations in the international market and strengthening of the US dollar.

Alongside gold, the price of silver has also seen a slight dip. Silver is currently being traded at Rs 1,960 per tola, Rs 10 lower than Sunday’s price of Rs 1,970.
