NC President Deuba pledges support to BP Koirala Hospital’s expansion

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has pledged his party’s full support for the expansion of the services of BP Memorial Community Hospital.

Addressing the 17th annual general meeting of the hospital here today, he said efforts would be made to establish hospitals in other places in the name of popular leader late BP Koirala.

“The hospital established as a community hospital should properly utilize the money of the shareholders and the general public,” Deuba said.

He appreciated the works done by BP Memorial Hospital for the development of the country’s health sector.

Addressing the same event, NC leader Dr Shekhar Koirala said the constitution amendment should not be delayed.

“The more the delay in amending the constitution, the more anger will increase on the streets,” he said.

He stressed that the party leadership should be serious so that the party does not face problems in sharing power with CPN (UML).

Chair of the hospital’s Board of Directors Umesh Jung Rayamajhi said the BP Memorial Hospital would be expanded to all seven provinces.
