Weather: Influence of westerly and local winds continues



KATHMANDU: Currently, local winds are partially influencing the country, in addition to the prevailing westerly winds.

As of Wednesday morning, the weather in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi Province, is mostly to partly cloudy.

The rest of the country is experiencing clear skies, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

There is a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions today, it said.

The Division also forecasts light rainfall with thundershowers in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and in one or two locations in the hilly areas of other provinces, as stated in a bulletin issued at 6 am on Wednesday.

Given the potential impact of rain and snowfall on daily life, health, as well as road and air transport, the Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions to minimize any adverse effects.
