Westerly low-pressure system brings cloudy weather

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the westerly low-pressure system continues to partially affect the country.

The weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience clear skies.

Some areas of the central and eastern Terai regions are currently experiencing fog.

The Division predicts that the hilly areas of Koshi province will remain partially to mostly cloudy throughout the day, with similar conditions expected in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The rest of the country will enjoy clear weather. There is a chance of light snowfall in one or two spots in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will stay partly cloudy, while other areas will have clear skies.

Light snowfall is anticipated in some high-altitude areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces over the next 24 hours.

Due to the likelihood of fog in certain Terai regions on Thursday morning, the Division has urged the public to stay alert for potential impacts on daily life, health, transportation, and aviation.
