NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published today’s foreign exchange rates, setting the buying rate for one US dollar at 143 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate at 144 rupees 25 paisa.

Similarly, the euro is priced at 167 rupees 14 paisa for buying and 167 rupees 84 paisa for selling, while the UK pound stands at 191 rupees 20 paisa for buying and 192 rupees for selling. One Swiss franc is valued at 178 rupees 44 paisa for buying and 179 rupees 18 paisa for selling.

Likewise, the Australian dollar trades at 95 rupees 46 paisa for buying and 95 rupees 85 paisa for selling; the Canadian dollar at 103 rupees 71 paisa for buying and 104 rupees 15 paisa for selling; and the Singapore dollar at 110 rupees 82 paisa for buying and 111 rupees 28 paisa for selling.

Ten Japanese yen cost 9 rupees 17 paisa for buying and 9 rupees 20 paisa for selling, while one Chinese yuan is set at 20 rupees 34 paisa for buying and 20 rupees 42 paisa for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal trades at 38 rupees 28 paisa for buying and 38 rupees 44 paisa for selling, and the Qatari riyal at 39 rupees 42 paisa for buying and 39 rupees 58 paisa for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht stands at 4 rupees 51 paisa for buying and 4 rupees 53 paisa for selling; the UAE dirham at 39 rupees 11 paisa for buying and 39 rupees 27 paisa for selling; the Malaysian ringgit at 34 rupees 88 paisa for buying and 35 rupees 03 paisa for selling; and 100 South Korean won at 9 rupees 77 paisa for buying and 9 rupees 82 paisa for selling.

Similarly, the Swedish krona is priced at 15 rupees 39 paisa for buying and 15 rupees 45 paisa for selling, while the Danish kroner stands at 22 rupees 38 paisa for buying and 22 rupees 47 paisa for selling. The NRB has also set the Hong Kong dollar at 18 rupees 46 paisa for buying and 18 rupees 54 paisa for selling; the Kuwaiti dinar at 467 rupees 76 paisa for buying and 469 rupees 72 paisa for selling; the Bahraini dinar at 381 rupees 06 paisa for buying and 382 rupees 65 paisa for selling; and the Omani rial at 373 rupees 13 paisa for buying and 374 rupees 69 paisa for selling.

One hundred Indian rupees have been valued at 160 rupees for buying and 160 rupees 15 paisa for selling. The central bank noted that these rates may be revised as needed, and commercial bank rates may vary, with updated figures available on its website.
