NEPSE goes up after three-day decline, gains 3.21 points



KATHMANDU: After three consecutive days of decline, Nepal’s share market rebounded on Tuesday as NEPSE rose by 3.21 points compared to Monday. With the gain, the index closed at 2,565.16 points.

Out of the traded companies, 142 saw an increase in share prices, 102 declined, while 10 remained unchanged. However, the total transaction amount fell from Rs 4.51 billion on Monday to Rs 3.62 billion today.

Sectoral indices showed a mixed trend, with all fluctuations remaining below 1 percent. Banking rose by 0.07 percent, hydropower by 0.77 percent, life insurance by 0.57 percent, manufacturing and processing by 0.33 percent, non-life insurance by 0.50 percent, and trading by 0.69 percent.

Meanwhile, the others category fell by 0.67 percent, microfinance by 0.05 percent, investment by 0.29 percent, hotel and tourism by 0.38 percent, finance by 0.61 percent, and development banks by 0.47 percent.
