KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 141.62 and the selling rate at Rs 142.22.
Similarly, one Euro is being bought at Rs 163.69 and sold at Rs 164.38, while the buying and selling rates for one British Pound Sterling are Rs 186.42 and Rs 187.21, respectively. The Swiss Franc stands at Rs 175.69 for buying and Rs 176.43 for selling.
The Australian Dollar is valued at Rs 92.48 (buying) and Rs 92.87 (selling), the Canadian Dollar at Rs 101.03 and Rs 101.46, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 108.67 and Rs 109.13. For 10 Japanese Yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.19 and the selling rate Rs 9.22, while one Chinese Yuan is priced at Rs 19.89 and Rs 19.97, respectively.
Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is set at Rs 37.76 (buying) and Rs 37.92 (selling), and the Qatari Riyal at Rs 38.85 and Rs 39.02. The UAE Dirham is valued at Rs 38.56 for buying and Rs 38.72 for selling, while the Omani Rial is priced at Rs 367.84 and Rs 369.40, and the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 375.66 and Rs 377.26.
Other notable rates include the Thai Baht at Rs 4.38 (buying) and Rs 4.42 (selling), the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 34.04 and Rs 34.19, 100 South Korean Won at Rs 9.73 and Rs 9.77, and the Swedish Kronor at Rs 14.89 and Rs 14.95. The Hong Kong Dollar is fixed at Rs 18.22 for buying and Rs 18.30 for selling.
The Kuwaiti Dinar remains the highest-valued foreign currency, with a buying rate of Rs 461.08 and a selling rate of Rs 463.03. The rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank noted that these rates are subject to change based on market conditions, and individual commercial banks may offer slightly different rates. Updated exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
