Man killed over alleged affair in Jhapa



JHAPA: A man was murdered in Mechinagar-7, Jhapa, last night.

According to police, 40-year-old Faumodin Mohammad of Duwagadhi was allegedly killed by Narayan Gyawali, 50, of Gairigaun, after finding him at his home with his 37-year-old wife, Sujata Gyawali.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khagendra Bahadur Khadka stated that the initial investigation suggests the murder occurred after Gyawali discovered the two together. Mohammad died on the spot, and Gyawali later surrendered to the police.

A team led by Police Inspector Rajkumar Karki from the Area Police Office in Kakarbhitta has taken Sujata Gyawali into custody for further investigation.
