Landslides block Beni–Jomsom road

BENI: Vehicular movement along the Beni–Jomsom road has been blocked since early Monday morning after multiple landslides struck different locations in Myagdi district.

According to the Traffic Police Office in Myagdi, landslides occurred in several areas of Raghuganga Rural Municipality and Annapurna Rural Municipality, cutting off road transport along the key route.

Assistant Police Inspector Bishal Darjee, chief of the office, said bulldozers have been deployed to clear the debris and restore traffic as soon as possible.

The disruption has severed direct road connectivity between Mustang and Myagdi. Meanwhile, flights between Pokhara and Jomsom have also been suspended due to unfavorable weather conditions.
