Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today.

As per the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 139.96, while the selling rate stands at Rs 140.56. The euro is being bought at Rs 162.91 and sold at Rs 163.61, whereas the UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 188.25 for buying and Rs 189.06 for selling.

Similarly, the Swiss franc is priced at Rs 173.19 for buying and Rs 173.93 for selling. The Australian dollar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 91.34 and Rs 91.74 respectively, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 101.73 for buying and Rs 102.17 for selling. The Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 108.88 and sold at Rs 109.35.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being traded at Rs 9.47 for buying and Rs 9.51 for selling. One Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 19.48 for buying and Rs 19.57 for selling.

The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 37.29 for buying and Rs 37.45 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is quoted at Rs 38.40 and Rs 38.56 respectively. The Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.33 for buying and Rs 4.35 for selling.

Likewise, the UAE dirham is priced at Rs 38.11 for buying and Rs 38.27 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is listed at Rs 33.01 for buying and Rs 33.15 for selling. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.08 and the selling rate is Rs 10.12.

Additionally, the Hong Kong dollar is priced at Rs 17.83 for buying and Rs 17.91 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 458.21 for buying and Rs 460.17 for selling.

The Bahraini dinar is being exchanged at Rs 371.25 for buying and Rs 372.84 for selling, while the Omani rial is valued at Rs 364.01 and Rs 365.57 respectively. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has clarified that these rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It has also noted that commercial banks may offer different rates, and the latest figures are available on the bank’s official website.
