This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy nationwide, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some hilly areas, particularly in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

One or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali may experience heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain and snowfall are also possible in some high hill and mountainous regions.

For tonight, the forecast indicates generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and partly cloudy skies in other regions.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in these provinces, with heavy rain possible in one or two areas of Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki. Snowfall and light to moderate rain are also expected in the higher elevations.

The Division has warned of potential risks from floods, landslides, and flash floods due to the anticipated rainfall. Urban and Terai regions may face inundation, while rising water levels in rivers and streams could impact daily life, agriculture, health services, tourism, and transportation.
