Country will not revert to previous system: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Maoist Centre and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the country will not revert to the previous system of governance.

Speaking at a program in Annapurna Rural Municipality-3, Myagdi, Prachanda emphasized that Nepal will not turn back from the federal democratic republican system that was established through a long political struggle and the strength of the people.

“We must move forward by addressing the shortcomings of the current system,” he said. “Political leadership must act in a way that restores the public’s trust and avoids disillusionment.”

Prachanda also shared that he has begun engaging directly with the public to better understand their concerns. He assured that all necessary efforts will be made to expedite the completion of the Kaligandaki Corridor project.
