Flood Division warns of rising river levels in Banke and Dang

KATHMANDU: The Flood Forecasting Division has advised residents in Banke and Dang districts to remain alert, especially in areas near rivers and flood-prone zones, due to the possibility of continued rainfall.

In a warning issued this morning (JUne 11), the Division reported moderate rainfall over the past hour at Sikta and Baijpur stations in Banke and at Ghorahi and Padhampur stations in Dang.

With more rain likely, water levels in small rivers in these areas may rise. Authorities have urged people living in low-lying and riverbank settlements to exercise caution.
