PM Oli urges swift passage of key bills for policy implementation

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on the House of Representatives to expedite the passage of crucial bills necessary to implement the government’s policies and programs.

Responding to lawmakers during Sunday’s House session, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgency of passing several long-pending bills, including the Federal Civil Service Bill, the Nepal Police Bill, the Armed Police Force Nepal Bill, and the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill.

“These bills are essential for ensuring effective governance and carrying forward the government’s development agenda,” said Oli, urging lawmakers across party lines to support timely legislative action.

He also highlighted the importance of other bills, such as the School Education Bill, the bill to establish and manage the Nepal Civil Services Authority, and the amendment to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Act, stressing that delays in their passage could hinder policy execution.
