Weather expected to remain mostly cloudy today



KATHMANDU: The weather across the country is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly regions, and in a few other parts of the country.

The high hills and mountainous areas may also experience light rain and snowfall. These weather conditions are being influenced by a combination of westerly and local winds, as well as moisture-laden air flowing in from the Bay of Bengal.

By tonight, the hilly regions will likely continue to see partly to generally cloudy skies, while the weather in other areas is expected to be mostly clear.

However, there remains a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hills and isolated spots elsewhere. Light rain and snowfall may also occur in some high-altitude areas.
