KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to good governance and prosperity by strengthening the federal democratic republic.

Speaking at a special session of the Koshi Provincial Assembly on Tuesday, he highlighted the government, in collaboration with the Nepali Congress and the UML, is moving the country forward with a focus on economic development and social upliftment.

PM Oli stressed that the constitution, achieved through the sacrifice and struggle of the people, will be safeguarded and amended as necessary. He stated that the current system allows for open competition and can be further enhanced through constitutional, peaceful, and good governance practices.

“We want to eradicate poverty and backwardness and go beyond just eliminating poverty. Our goal is to fulfill all human, biological, and just needs, pushing the country toward prosperity within a system where citizens are supreme,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s focus on entrepreneurship and job creation, PM Oli expressed his determination to keep the country on a progressive path.

He called for cooperation among all three levels of government—federal, provincial, and local—in line with the constitution to ensure holistic development.
