Transport Office Hetauda begins vehicle digitization

HETAUDA: The Transport Service Office in Hetauda, Makawanpur, has initiated the digitization of vehicles to streamline record-keeping and eliminate the need for physical visits to the office for renewals.

According to Office Chief Praveen Shrestha, the process aims to simplify vehicle record searches and enable online tax payments, making it unnecessary for vehicle owners to carry a blue book.

Employees are currently entering vehicle documents and data to build an electronic record of all registered vehicles.

The digitization drive was launched a few days ago by Bagmati Province Minister for Labor, Employment and Transport, Prem Bhakta Maharjan.

Chief Shrestha stated that approximately 51,000 vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers, are registered at the office. The entire digitization process is expected to be completed within three to four months.
