Former President Bhandari extends best wishes on National Unity Day



KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended her best wishes on the occasion of the National Unity Day and the 303rd Prithvi Jayanti today.

Taking to the social networking site X (formerly known as twitter) today, the former President wrote: “I have the confidence that the National Unity Day will inspire all of us to forge ahead becoming united to materialize the common national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ through the unfettered protection and consolidation of national unity, sovereignty and territorial indivisibility while reminding the glorious history of the unification campaign of Nepal.”

She extended hearty best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of the National Unity Day and the 303rd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the king of then Gorkha principality and the leader of the unification campaign of modern Nepal.
