NEPSE slips by 7.86 points as market posts Rs 3.73 billion turnover



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 7.86 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,606.20 points.

The market recorded a transaction volume of Rs 3.73 billion during the trading session.

With the minor decline in the benchmark index, share prices of a majority of listed companies, 169 in total, ended in the red, while 80 companies saw their prices rise. The prices of 9 companies remained unchanged.

On Wednesday, investors selling shares of Swastik Laghubitta Financial Institution booked the highest profit, whereas those selling shares of Jhapa Energy Limited incurred the biggest loss.

Except for the mutual fund subgroup, all other sectoral indices turned negative as the market closed slightly lower.
