NC leader Chandra Bhandari signals intent to run for party presidency

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Chandra Bhandari has publicly indicated his desire to contest for the party presidency at the upcoming 15th General Convention.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Bhandari stated that he has a clear aspiration and defined vision for the top post. He added that he is prepared to move forward from zero to one hundred depending on what the nation, the people, democracy, and the organization demand.

“My aspiration for the presidency in the Nepali Congress’ 15th General Convention is clear, and my perspective equally set,” he wrote. “But I am ready to advance in whatever way necessary, guided by the country’s interests, the people, democratic values, and the organizational need.”

Bhandari added that he would proceed by respecting colleagues’ suggestions, the call of the times, and the broader political environment.
