NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today. The buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.51, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.11.

The buying rate for one euro is Rs 167.05 and the selling rate is Rs 167.75. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 191.34 and sold at Rs 192.14. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one Swiss franc have been fixed at Rs 177.88 and Rs 178.62 respectively.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 95.25 and sold at Rs 95.65, while the Canadian dollar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 103.68 and Rs 104.11. The buying rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 110.69, with the selling rate at Rs 111.15.

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.19 and the selling rate is Rs 9.23. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.31 and sold at Rs 20.40. The buying and selling rates for one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 38.24 and Rs 38.40, and for one Qatari riyal, Rs 39.37 and Rs 39.54.

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.51 and sold at Rs 4.53. One UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.07 and a selling rate of Rs 39.24. The buying and selling rates for one Malaysian ringgit are Rs 34.87 and Rs 35.02.

Likewise, for 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is Rs 9.78 and the selling rate is Rs 9.82. The buying and selling rates for one Swedish krona stand at Rs 15.34 and Rs 15.41, while those for one Danish krone are Rs 22.37 and Rs 22.46.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.44 and the selling rate at Rs 18.52. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 467.43 and sold at Rs 469.38. The buying and selling rates for one Bahraini dinar are Rs 380.69 and Rs 382.28, and for one Omani rial, Rs 372.75 and Rs 374.31. The buying rate for one hundred Indian rupees is Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank has noted that these rates may be revised at any time, and commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. The updated exchange rates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
