Tribhuvan International Airport reopens

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has reopened for flights following a decision by the Airport Security Committee. Preparations for takeoffs and landings began around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal had announced that the airport would remain closed until further notice, citing ongoing nationwide curfews, restrictions, and unrest following recent violent incidents.

The reopening comes as authorities work to restore normal operations and ensure the safety of passengers and airport personnel.
