Two girls go missing while bathing in Mahakali River



KANCHANPUR: Two young girls have gone missing while bathing in the Mahakali River near Airi, Bhimdatta Municipality-12, on Sunday.

According to DSP Sagar Bohara of the District Police Office, the missing girls have been identified as Jeevika Pant and Sanbi Pant, both residents of Bhimdatta Municipality-11. They are estimated to be around 6 to 7 years old.

Police have launched a search operation to locate the girls. Locals reported that several children were bathing on the riverbank at the time of the incident. The two girls were swept away by the river current and have not been seen since.
