11 Nepali workers deported from Croatia return home

KATHMANDU: Eleven Nepali citizens who had traveled to Croatia for foreign employment have been deported and sent back to Nepal.

According to Govinda Prasad Rijal, Director General of the Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, the deported youths arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Rijal stated that the individuals were deported for failing to complete proper visa procedures before entering Croatia.

In recent times, Croatia has increasingly become a transit point for Nepalis seeking to reach Portugal, Cyprus, and other European countries.
