Call to utilize natural resources for nat’l interests

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has stated that we should work to achieve the country’s economic prosperity through maximum utilization of natural resources available in the country.

After observing the photo exhibition today organized by RSS under the theme ‘Mountain Tourism: Our Pride, Our Identity’ on the occasion of 18th Republic Day, Finance Minister Paudel said we should get maximum benefits from the utilization of our rich natural resources.

“We are rich culturally as well. Nepal is beautiful in all respects including mountains, forests, flora and fauna. We should utilize the nature’s gift for the country’s economic progress and prosperity,” the Finance Minister added.

Asked about the budget implementation in the upcoming fiscal year, Paudel said the budget would be implemented effectively since it is realistic in view of the current economic condition of the country.

“The upcoming fiscal year’s budget is based on our ground reality. The estimates for resources and expenditures are realistic. The major challenge is to improve capital expenditure,” he added.
