Rain and thunderstorms likely in Koshi, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that most parts of the western and central regions of the country are currently under the influence of westerly and local winds, along with monsoon winds.

At present, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country remains mainly clear to partly cloudy.

This afternoon, the hilly regions, including Koshi and Lumbini provinces, are expected to be partly to generally cloudy. Other areas will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy.

There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, similar conditions are expected. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at one or two locations in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces.
