NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published today’s foreign currency exchange rates. The buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 143.82, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.42.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for the Euro are Rs 167.54 and Rs 168.23, respectively, while the Pound Sterling is valued at Rs 191.54 for buying and Rs 192.34 for selling. The Swiss Franc trades at Rs 178.74 (buying) and Rs 179.48 (selling), and the Australian Dollar at Rs 95.49 (buying) and Rs 95.89 (selling).

The rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.25 for buying and Rs 9.29 for selling, and one Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 20.35 for buying and Rs 20.43 for selling.

Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal trades at Rs 38.29 (buying) and Rs 38.45 (selling); the Qatari riyal at Rs 39.47 (buying) and Rs 39.63 (selling); the Thai baht at Rs 4.51 (buying) and Rs 4.53 (selling); the UAE dirham at Rs 39.16 (buying) and Rs 39.32 (selling); and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.97 (buying) and Rs 35.11 (selling).

The buying and selling rates for the South Korean won are Rs 9.80 and Rs 9.84, for the Swedish kroner Rs 15.28 and Rs 15.35, and for the Danish kroner Rs 22.43 and Rs 22.52, respectively. One Hong Kong dollar trades at Rs 18.48 (buying) and Rs 18.56 (selling), while the Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 468.45 (buying) and Rs 470.41 (selling).

The Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 381.51 for buying and Rs 383.10 for selling, and the Omani riyal at Rs 373.55 and Rs 375.11. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160, and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time and that commercial banks may publish slightly different figures, with the latest updates available on the central bank’s website.
