President Paudel launches ‘NTV World’

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has formally launched NTV World on the occasion of the first anniversary of the establishment of Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) Nepal.

NTV World, the English-language channel of Nepal Television, was inaugurated during a ceremony held today at the PSB Nepal premises in Singha Durbar. The channel aims to present content that helps the international community better understand Nepal.

During the event, President Poudel also unveiled the PSB logo and mobile application. PSB Nepal, formed through the integration of Nepal Television and Radio Nepal, marked its first anniversary today.

According to the provisions of the Act, the law came into effect on 23 Kartik 2081, the 31st day after its certification. With the implementation of this Act, Radio Nepal—originally established under the Radio Broadcasting Service Development (Committee) Formation Order, 2041—and Nepal Television—formed under the Communications Corporation Act, 2028—were transformed into a unified public service broadcasting organization.
