PM Balen Shah calls emergency Cabinet meeting

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Balendra Shah has called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers. The Cabinet had previously convened on Sunday.

The emergency session, scheduled for 1 pm at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, is expected to address several important issues.

The meeting has been called ahead of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung’s planned inspection of the Roshi Khola area in Kavre.

According to the Home Minister’s Secretariat, Minister Gurung will depart for the on-site inspection only after attending the Cabinet meeting. The Council of Ministers is expected to deliberate on key matters, including the recurring monsoon floods in the Roshi Khola region and the challenges faced by local residents, before the field visit.
