Rain and snow likely in eastern and central highlands

KATHMANDU: Parts of Nepal’s eastern and central highlands are likely to see brief rain or snowfall today, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The Division has reported that the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain partly cloudy, while weather conditions across the rest of the country are expected to stay mostly clear.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of light rain and brief snowfall at one or two locations in the mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. These conditions are typical for early November as temperatures begin to drop in higher altitudes.

Meteorologists say no significant weather system is currently influencing Nepal’s atmosphere, indicating stable conditions across much of the country.

However, residents in high-altitude areas are advised to remain cautious of colder mornings and nights as winter gradually approaches.
