Rastriya Banijya Bank warns customers about fraudulent calls and messages

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has alerted its customers about recent reports of unauthorized individuals contacting them in the bank’s name to carry out fraudulent activities. The bank said it has received information that scammers are seeking personal details, making false offers, and luring customers with promises of financial gain.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the bank emphasized that no RBB employee or authorized representative will ever contact customers via phone, email, social media, or other channels to request ATM PINs, mobile banking or e-banking OTPs, passwords, or any other confidential personal information.

The notice, issued by Deputy Executive Officer Pawan Regmi, urged customers not to trust such unsolicited calls, emails, or social media messages and to remain vigilant against potential scams. The bank has also reminded customers to report any suspicious communications to the bank immediately.
