Minister Ghising inspects reconstruction works along BP Highway



KAVRE: Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Urban Development and Energy Kulman Ghising has once again visited the BP Highway to inspect the areas severely damaged by recent floods and landslides.

During his field visit to the border area between Roshi Rural Municipality and Namobuddha Municipality in Kavre, Minister Ghising reviewed the ongoing road restoration works and directed authorities to open the road track by the evening of October 10.

The minister was accompanied by the Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Director General of the Department of Roads during the inspection.

Local representatives — Namo Buddha Mayor Kunsang Lama, Roshi Rural Municipality Chair Dinesh Lama, and Mahabharat Rural Municipality Chair Kanchha Lal Jimba — briefed the minister on the problems caused after the highway was severely damaged by floods and landslides.
