Rabi Lamichhane released from Nakkhu Prison by protestors

LALITPUR: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane has been released from Nakkhu Prison in Lalitpur, where he was being held in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

Prison authorities stated they could not guarantee his security, prompting Lamichhane’s family to take responsibility for his release. His wife, Nikita Paudel, personally went to Nakkhu Prison to receive him.

Thousands of supporters gathered outside the prison to catch a glimpse of Lamichhane, who appeared in a white outfit and greeted the crowd.
