Protesters set fire to Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa



KATHMANDU: Demonstrators set fire to the central office of the ruling Nepali Congress in Sanepa on Tuesday.

Protesters, who had been demonstrating in Balkhu since the morning following the deaths of 19 youths in Monday’s Gen Z protests, moved to Sanepa and torched the party headquarters.

A large protest is currently underway in Balkhu, where the government has deployed the Nepal Army to bring the situation under control.
