Demonstrators hurl stones at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar

KATHMANDU: Amid escalating protests in the capital, demonstrators on Tuesday hurled stones at the private residence of Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Khumaltar.

The incident followed the arson of a nearby police station. The crowd then proceeded to Dahal’s residence, where they reportedly threw stones at the building.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the protesters were gathered in front of the main gate, continuing to hurl stones during the tense standoff.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether Dahal was present at the time of the attack. No official statement has been released regarding the extent of damage or injuries, if any.

Security has been tightened in the area, and reinforcements have been deployed to prevent further escalation.
