One killed, another injured in lightning strike in Taplejung



TAPLEJUNG: A man has died and another has been injured after being struck by lightning in Sidingwa Rural Municipality of Taplejung district.

Rajkumar Limbu, a resident of Ward 3, died while undergoing treatment at a local health post in Sablakhu after being struck by lightning at his home on Tuesday evening, according to family members.

In a separate incident, 17-year-old Misan Limbu of Ward 5, Limbudin, was also struck by lightning and is currently receiving treatment at the same health post, said Bibek Basnet, Information Officer at the District Police Office.
