HoR: Discussion on policies and programs to conclude today

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to continue its meeting today, with the session scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., according to the Parliament Secretariat.

Today’s agenda includes the final round of discussions on the government’s policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/083 (2025/26).

Lawmakers who have yet to express their views are expected to participate in the remaining time.

The discussion on the policies and programs has been underway since Monday. The Parliament Secretariat has confirmed that the debate will conclude today, with only three hours remaining out of the 18 hours allocated for deliberation in the House.

The schedule for endorsing the policies and programs has been finalized following Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s response in both Houses on May 11.
