Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the updated foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), with all major currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound, dinar, and Australian dollar, registering an increase.

As per the new rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 136.49, while the selling rate is NPR 137.44. In comparison, yesterday’s buying rate was NPR 135.43, and the selling rate was NPR 136.03.

Notably, on Magh 25, the US dollar reached its highest-ever value in the Nepali market, with a buying rate of NPR 139.83 and a selling rate of NPR 140.43.

The euro also appreciated today, with a buying rate of NPR 154.49 and a selling rate of NPR 155.17. Yesterday, the euro’s buying rate stood at NPR 153.95, and the selling rate was NPR 154.63.

Similarly, the pound sterling rose to a buying rate of NPR 182.22 and a selling rate of NPR 183.02. This is an increase from yesterday’s rates of NPR 180.80 (buying) and NPR 181.60 (selling).

The Australian dollar is now trading at NPR 87.87 (buying) and NPR 88.17 (selling), up from yesterday’s NPR 87.70 and NPR 88.09, respectively.

The Kuwaiti dinar saw a notable jump, with the buying rate climbing to NPR 446.27 and the selling rate to NPR 448.23. Yesterday, the rates were NPR 441.74 and NPR 443.70, respectively.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar is trading at a buying rate of NPR 362.96 and a selling rate of NPR 364.55, compared to yesterday’s NPR 359.20 (buying) and NPR 360.79 (selling).
