Maoist office-bearers’ meeting on Monday to discuss national politics

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has scheduled an office-bearers’ meeting for Monday morning.

According to party secretary Devendra Paudel, the meeting will focus on current political developments.

Meanwhile, Maoist leaders are returning to Kathmandu after pausing the Tarai-Madhes Awareness Campaign.

The campaign was halted as pro-monarchy groups, including supporters of former King Gyanendra Shah, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and other royalists, intensified their demonstrations in Kathmandu.

The Maoist Centre had launched the campaign across Tarai-Madhes districts from February 24 to March 20 but decided to put it on hold following recent political tensions.
