23 injured in Chitwan bus accident



BHARATPUR: A road accident early this morning left 23 people injured.

The incident occurred when a bus (Lu Pra 03-001 Kha 0077), traveling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu, veered off the Setidobhan bridge on the Narayangadh-Muglin road at 4:30 am, as reported by the police.

Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari from the Muglin Area Police Office confirmed that 23 of the 28 passengers on the bus were injured in the crash.

The injured individuals are being treated at Chitwan Medical College.

Initial investigations indicate that a tire puncture may have caused the bus to lose control.
